Our Carers have an uncompromising commitment to quality in all areas of care.
Our care provisions are founded on this commitment. This requires us to select only those candidates who have the personal characteristics, professional qualifications and integrity to uphold our principles.
We choose people who emit a genuine enthusiasm for providing care and possess the motivation, sensitivity, patience, empathy, respect and commitment required to maintain exceptional standards. Throughout the interview process they have to continuously demonstrate how they uphold these qualities and what drives them to become a live in carer.
Our live in carers have to complete a rigorous recruitment process. We not only look at their qualifications, experience, skills and attributes, but also demand excellent references and undertake an enhanced disclosure barring service (DBS) check on each individual.
Each of our carers is trained to the highest standard, encouraged to complete their NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification, and put through a mandatory training programme. All of our Live in Carers are trained in first aid, fire safety, health and safety, safeguarding vulnerable adults, care and administration of medicines, palliative care, and infection control.
Our carers are regularly supervised and observed delivering care in the homes of our service users by senior team members. We will always ask a service user’s permission in advance if we plan to undertake an observation in their home. We greatly appreciate the cooperation of our service users, and it helps us to maintain and often improve upon the standards of service we deliver.
