What is Live in Care?

Live in Care is a service offering 24/7 one to one care at home without the need for moving into a care home…

Live in Care is a great alternative to residential care, and a solution for those wanting to remain in their own home, with its comforts and familiar surroundings. It allows you to keep living in your chosen lifestyle with your family, friends, local community and any pets and empowers you to retain your independence and control.

Live in Care is highly flexible, providing a variety of services that could include;

  • Personal Care
  • Prompting medication
  • Light domestic duties
  • Shopping
  • Companionship
  • Food preparation and assistance
  • Pet care
  • Accompany to and from appointments
  • Gardening

This list is by no means exhaustive, so if you require a service that is not listed, please get in contact with our Live in Care team.

Your live in carer works with you to support all your care needs, outlined in your tailor made care plan; created by a member of the live in care team together with you and a loved one who is familiar with your needs and routines. This allows the care to be on your terms and current preferences; such as, meal times, diet choices, hobbies, medication needs and personal care routines. Your care plan will be regularly reviewed, so as your needs change, the care will evolve with you.

We understand the importance in building good relationships and finding the right carer to meet all your support needs; that’s why we work to match you with your carer according to what you require from them, such as; a male or female carer, experience, characteristics, a driver, a pet lover and more. We can arrange a meet and greet with your chosen carer before the care package begins, to make sure both you and carer are comfortable and allow a relationship to develop.

Your well matched carer can live with you from a minimum of one week, up to 6 weeks at a time. They then must take at least one week’s break; a replacement carer will be provided to cover this until your primary carer returns. It is important to keep continuity; therefore we try to provide a minimum of 2-3 carers per service user.
