Live in Care can offer respite care at home…
Care with minimal disruption
It can be for anyone needing care and support in their lives for as long or short a period of time as necessary. Rather than using a residential respite service, which involves moving into a new environment, respite care at home allows people to remain in their own home, meaning minimal disruption for the service user. The Live in Carers will follow the care plan to allow the service user to continue their lifestyle and receive the support they are used to keeping that consistency of care and peace of mind for loved ones.
A Break for carers
We understand the selflessness and commitment of caring for a loved one and recognise the importance of allowing that well deserved break, that’s why our respite care service can provide a live in carer to cover the break of an existing carer, ensuring peace of mind that their loved one is receiving the care and support they need. Respite care at home can be arranged on an ad-hoc basis or a regular arrangement from a cover of one week up to many weeks.
This support for existing carers is not only there to cover breaks, respite care at home can be for emergency situations such as an existing carer becoming ill or needing to go into hospital, although we are not an emergency service, we are able to provide a Live in Carer at short notice, to cover any unexpected care needs.
Short-term care for rehabilitation and convalescence
Many people need short term live in support, through a period of recuperation or convalescence, such as in the few weeks after returning from hospital. We can provide a Live in Carer at these times, to support them back to their independence.
Choosing care is a very important decision to make and can take time to decide. Because respite care is temporary it can be a great way to help in making this decision, using it as a trial period to see if Live in Care is right for you and/or your loved ones.
Please can you pass on my heartfelt thanks to all the carers who helped look after my mum. The dignity she was afforded and the sensitivity shown towards her was much appreciated. I could not have asked for a better team to have looked after her.
